So am I to assume this was the fate of the other 322 sirlancelots? Some sort of sirlancelot/practice head war in the not to distant future or past?

As a matter of fact, the other 322 Lancelots were brutally slaughtered by the practice heads and their mutant barber queen in 1999…but we don't like to talk about that much.
